Girls Track

Congratulations to the East Bernard Girls Track Team for winning the Team Championship in Columbus Thursday, March 11th. The following girls broke the school record they set last week in the 4x100 Relay: Terralynn Williams, Florence Wilson, Elexis Delgado and Larrissa Wilson.

Regional Powerlifting

The EBHS Power Lifting team traveled to Anahuac on Saturday, March 6th and brought home the 3rd place Regional Championship team trophy.
Team members were Mario Belman, Michael Hernandez, Nathan Korenek, Austin Matura, Aric Matura, Zach Castillo, Gabe Segrest, Dany Machado, Miles Lee and Nick Longoria.
Earning medals for the "Brahmas" were:
Nick Longoria-5th place-Super Heavy Weight class
Zach Castillo-4th place-198 class
Austin Matrua-3rd place-181 class
Miles Lee-2nd place-275 class
Dany Machado-2nd place-220 class
Gabe Segrest-1st place-198 class
Dany Machado, Miles Lee and Gabe Segrest qualified for the THSPA State Championship meet in Abilene on Saturday, March 27th.
Austin Matura set a new Regional Bench Press record for the 181 class with a 340 lb lift
Gabe Segrest set new Regional records in 3 categories. Bench Press-365 lbs, Dead lift-555 lbs and Total weight-1435 lbs
Gabe Segrest was also named Outstanding Lifter for the Region 4-Division 3 Power Lifting championship

Varsity Girls Track Team

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Track Team who won the Team Championship at the Needville Track Meet on Friday March 5th.
A new school record was set by the following girls in the 400m. relay: Terralynn Williams, Florence Wilson, Elexis Delgado and Larrissa Wilson. The boys/girls travel to Columbus on Thursday, March 11th.

The following young men have qualified for the Regional Power Lifting Championship and will represent East Bernard High School on Saturday, March 6th in Anahuac.

Softball 3/1/10

As of this morning (3/1/10), the softball game vs. St. Joseph High School will be played in Victoria at the O'Connor Athletic Complex. Varsity will play at 4:30, JV at 6:00.

JV Baseball 2/26/10

Our JV baseball game set for 5pm on Friday 2/26 has been cancelled. Our V game against Sacred Heart will be played at 6 pm on Friday in East Bernard.

Softball 2/23/10

The softball game scheduled for here tonight vs. Van Vleck has been cancelled due to weather. We will try and make this game up on Thursday. We will let everyone know ahead of time.

Baseball Scrimmage

Our scrimmage against Sacred Heart will now take place on Friday, Feb 19, in East Bernard starting at 4:30 pm. The scrimmage was scheduled to take place in Hallettsville at 5:00 pm. We are moving the site to East Bernard and starting 30 minutes earlier.
