SHAC

The East Bernard ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is an advisory group of individuals who represent various segments of the community. The group acts collectively to provide advice and make recommendations to the school system on various aspects of school health, including, but not limited to: nutrition services, health education, physical education and parent/community involvement. The vision of SHAC is for all students to function at their maximum personal, health and academic abilities. The mission of SHAC is for all students to be physically and emotionally fit through academic classes in health education and through modeling of good health practices. The EBISD School Health Advisory Council will implement the TEA approved CATCH (Coordinated Approach To Child Health) curriculum in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade to achieve the vision and mission of the program.
