The East Bernard High School Future Business Leaders of America held their annual Trick or Treat for Can Goods on the evening of Thursday, October 24.
This annual community service projects is a great way for FBLA to get everyone in the community involved. The 35+ members went door-to-door in neighborhoods collecting non perishable items. It's always a lot of fun and the members like knowing that their efforts help local families that are in need.
FBLA also involved the EB Junior High by having them hold a class room contest to see which could collect the most items. All together the students of East Bernard High School and East Bernard Junior High collected over 1000 items. Mrs. New and Mrs. Matthyss' class were the classes that won a pizza party because they both collected over 100 items.
All the items were donated to CARE our local food bank. CARE helps supplement around 125 families or close to 300 individuals.
