I am starting to record videos for help points. All journal entry videos that we do in class will be posted on Google Classroom.
Welcome to 4th Grade!

First off, let me tell you how truly blessed I am to be able to assist your child in their growth and learning this year. I believe and know that we will have an amazing year together. Like you, I have hopes and dreams for every student that crosses my doorway. If my students take away anything from my classroom this year, may it be these three concepts:

A day will never go by in a person's life where he or she will not learn at least one new thing. In that instance, my hope is that my students realize that they are life-long learners. Hopefully instilling this perception will assist them in developing into an adult and drive them to become everything they want to be in life and much more.

This world would be a different place if questions were never asked and mistakes never made. If previous generations never questioned the world and its possibilities, we would not be in the place where we are today. Every technological advance, every change ever made was because of someone questioning its existence. (With these questions, will come trials, and with trials will come mistakes. It is what we learn from our mistakes that we can receive great knowledge.)

Lastly, and probably most importantly, to be a life-long learner and to be an inquisitor, my students need to realize that they truly hold the key to their life. It is THEIR mind, THEIR determination, and THEIR imagination that truly matters.

Like Dr. Seuss states, "Oh the things you can think, if YOU only try," and how true that statement really is.

Again, I am excited to be your child's educator this year and cannot wait to create memories together!

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, or comments.

ABOUT ME
As mentioned above, I am so excited to start this new school year. This will be my fourth year teaching in East Bernard ISD, and definitely not my first time in this school district. I am a graduate of East Bernard High School. Prior to coming home, I taught in Wharton ISD and have held assignments in 4th grade Math/Science/Social Studies, 6th grade Math, and Math/Science Facilitator for grades 3rd-6th. I am married to the love of my life and have two amazing, spunky little ones.
