Qualifications:

• A) Fully completed Application

• B) Graduating High School Senior

• C) Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or a 80% or better

• D) Include a copy of your high school transcript

• E) Attend a School District that is an Emergency Preparedness Plan Partner of Gerloff Company, Inc.

• F) Include two letters of recommendation from persons not related to applicant (clergy, teacher, Superintendent, employer, etc.)

• G) Include a brief autobiography and statement of career plan (maximum of 2 pages)

• H) Must be a Texas resident

Deadline: The application and attachments must be postmarked or e-mailed by April 15th, 2026.

The Masonic Lodge Scholarship is available to any EBHS graduating senior. You MUST attend the Award Presentation at the East Bernard Masonic Lodge IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE SCHOLARSHIP.

East Bernard High School Journalism Scholarship - Posted January 30, 2026

Guidelines:

1) All applications must be neatly printed in ink or typed

2) Recipient must be enrolled in a college or technical school no later than the immediate fall semester. To receive the scholarship, you must show receipt for fall tuition.

3) Applicants must have been a member of the Journalism department for at least two years during high school

4) Applicants must be high school seniors

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to all graduatin high school seniors

• No minimum GPA required

• Must demonstrate strong character, resilience, and personal growth through adversity

• Must be planning to continue education after high school (trade school, apprenticeship, community college, university, etc.)

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Hildebrand Rural Scholar's Program: Four Year and Vocational Scholarship opportunities.

The Four-Year Scholarship is a $20, 000 scholarship awarded to outstanding 4-H and/or FFA members exclusively from rural communities across Texas and who qualify for a Federal Pell Grant.

The Vocational Scholarship is up to a $6, 000 scholarship awarded to outstanding 4-H and/or FFA members exclusively from rural communities across Texas and who qualify for a Federal Pell Grant.
