My name is Doug Grigar and I am in my third year as the East Bernard HS Principal.  I am a 1995 graduate of EBISD and I definitely bleed Maroon and White.  The qualities of hard work, Faith in God, and striving to be my best have shaped my entire life; East Bernard ISD helped foster these qualities in me and I am blessed to serve our students and staff as their HS principal.  I graduated from Trinity University in 2000 with my bachelor's and master's degrees. The 2025-26 school year will mark the 26th year of my career in education.  My wife is Audra Grigar; she is the Family/Consumer Science teacher at East Bernard HS.  We have three kids; Ty is 17 and in 12th grade, Coy is 15 and in 10th grade, and Ava is 11 and in 6th grade.  

In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, traveling Texas, proving people wrong, and hanging out with Elvis the Wonder Yorkie. Helping students discover and understand the gifts, talents, and treasures that God has instilled in them is my ultimate journey. I tell our students often that I LOVE them and want them to be their best. The JOY IS IN THE JOURNEY!!
