Senate Bill 12 requires a district, before the first instructional day of each school year, to provide to the parent of each enrolled student written notice of each health-related service offered at the district campus the student attends. Mandates the notice include a statement of the parent’s right to withhold consent for or decline a health-related service.
Forms will be coming home with your student. It is very IMPORTANT you review the letter and form before making a decision. If you wish to opt out, please fill out the form and return to Nurse Dusek located at the EBJHS campus.
El Proyecto de Ley Senatorial 12 exige que los distritos escolares, antes del primer día de clases de cada año escolar, notifiquen por escrito a los padres de cada estudiante matriculado sobre cada servicio de salud ofrecido en el campus del distrito al que asiste. Exige que la notificación incluya una declaración sobre el derecho de los padres a denegar el consentimiento o rechazar un servicio de salud.
Si desea excluirse voluntariamente de los servicios de salud estudiantil, se le enviarán los formularios a casa. Es muy IMPORTANTE que revise la carta y el formulario antes de tomar una decisión. ALL STUDENTS must fill out a lunch application. The application will come home with your child the first week of school. This form generates necessary funding for our schools in multiple areas NOT just for lunch. Please reach out to Carol Dobias with questions, carol.dobias@ebisd.org.
Beginning August 13, 2025, students receiving reduced lunch rates will now receive lunch for free. Additionally, ALL EBISD students will receive free breakfast effective on the first day of school, August 13th.
