The East Wharton County Special Education Cooperative is committed to providing quality special education support services to encourage communication and collaboration among students, parents, educators, and other stakeholders so that youth with disabilities can benefit from an appropriate educational program.

The East Wharton County Special Education Cooperative adheres to the philosophy that all children can learn. Students with disabilities will learn, in their own way, at their own pace, and with special help from caring, concerned educators and parents.

The East Wharton County Special Education Cooperative is a shared services arrangement that provides special education services to students ages three through twenty-one. We strive to ensure that all our services provide: guidance, support, and empowerment so that all students are provided instruction in the least restrictive environment. East Wharton County Special Education Cooperative is committed to providing a child centered educational process. We achieve this through a variety of placement options for special needs students.

If you have a child who might benefit from our services, please do not hesitate to contact your school district and request a special education referral. You may also contact David Calbert, Special Education Director at 979-532-6245.
